May 2010 saw the graduation of the most decorated distance runner in Tufts history. A seven-time All-American in the 5k, 10k, and Distance Medley Relay, Jesse Faller ended his career with three individual school records and countless victories at the NESCAC and Division 3 New England level. Beyond these accolades, however, Faller's legacy will be the energy he brought to his racing and the fire he ignited time and again in his teammates. Beneath his kind and unassuming exterior burned a fierce drive to win. Jesse stepped up and performed every time that the team needed it most, from anchoring DMRs to automatic national qualifiers, to closing 5ks with his electric kick. He amassed impressive PRs of 14:17.10 and 30:13.97 during his senior year (the latter in his debut effort) and was an All-American during all three seasons. As the first three-time cross country All-American at Tufts, Faller chose his final race as a Jumbo harrier to be the best of his career as he ran to 8th in the country. Needless to say, Jesse will be missed as a competitor, teammate, and friend.
