In their first home meet of the season the Jumbos wasted no time in posting some great performances, making themselves known to their NESCAC rivals.

Many members of the Cross Country team made their first mark on the indoor track and they wasted no time. Senior Matt Lacey led Josh Kennedy and Chris Kantos to a one, two, three finish in the 3000 meter run. Dave Sorenson ran to victory in his first 5K with a time of 15:58. Chad Uy was right on his tail with a second place time of 16:17. Senior Kyle Doran is back after being injured last indoor season and set a strong base for his season with a time of 2:38 in the 1000 meters.

The field events also put out a shining performance. Fred Jones returned from abroad and led the triple jumpers to take the top five places with his Provisional Qualifying jump of 14.09 meters. Dan Marcy, Nate Scott, Jake Fromer and Kenny Kang took second through fifth in the triple. Jeremy Arak continued off his success at Dartmouth and rolled into a first place in the highjump with a leap of 6 feet 4 inches. The freshman duo of James Bradley and Ted McMahan both jumped 6 feet and Freshman Philip Rotella posted 5'8"

The throwers pulled through with Brandon Udelhofen posting a PR in the weight throw with 14.78 meters. Jason Galvin followed him with a trow of 13.07 meters. Rookie-senior pole-vaulter Rob Lorie vaulted 3.66 meters to match Justin Henneman and his 3.66 meter vault.

Senior Captain Trevor Williams set the pace for the sprints with a personal record in the 600 meters. Freshman Will Forde shined as a future top sprinter, taking 8th in the 55 with 6.80 and 5th in the 200m with 23.65.
